Today, the Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program helps fulfill that mission by teaching people to be safe in, on and around the water through water safety courses, water-orientation classes for infants and toddlers and comprehensive Learn-to-Swim courses for individuals of different ages and abilities. Red Cross Learn-to-Swim courses are structured in a logical progression for aquatic skill development. As participants develop these skills, they become safer and better swimmers.
This class is designed to give young children a head start on swimming. Great for children to get comfortable in the water and begin to work on basic skills while interacting with the instructor and other children in a fun and safe environment. Parents are in the water with the child for this class. Instruction is fun and interactive in teaching fundamental swimming skills. A current Rec Card is required.Students must wear proper attire and provide any additional items needed, i.e. sunscreen, water, towel, etc.
