Painting Mini Workshop - Bargue Plate Drawing

Students will use the Bargue drawing plates to learn how to accurately copy a drawing using sight size technique. Learn how to use plumb line to make accurate copies of the master plates. You will learn how to simplify complex forms, how to block in large shapes, and how to match value to create form in space. This drawing have been used since the 18th century to teach artists how to understand how to develop a system of measuring, and shading that will cross over into a stronger understanding of how to draw.
